Ceyline helps bring the Wolf to town

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, which is taking South East Asia by storm, concluded their second successful sale in Sri Lanka last month. The book sale was held from 28 June to 8 July at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC). More than one hundred and eighty thousand (180,000) people visited the venue, and walked out with bags full of books in various genres such as romance, horror, fiction and children’s books. Behind this success was a team of professionals from Sri Lanka and Malaysia, who worked tirelessly to ensure this 24 hours, non-stop, book sale ran without any hiccups for 10 days.

Ceyline played an integral part behind the scenes of the Sale by providing logistics and transport solutions to the Big Bad Wolf team. The books, which arrived in thirty-three containers, were cleared at the port of Colombo and transported to SLECC on time, according to a predetermined sequence. “This, by all means was no easy feat. It required precise coordination between my team and authorities such as the Container Terminals, Sri Lanka Customs, Container Yards and even Sri Lanka Police. My sincere gratitude goes out to these teams that helped make this a success, as well as the Big Bad Wolf team for placing their trust in us,” said Ceyline Group freight forwarding and logistic subsidiary Cargoserv Shipping Ltd.’s Managing Director Mevan Peiris.

Ceyline Group, the most diversified shipping group in Sri Lanka, have provided freight and logistic solutions to Sri Lankan exporters and importers since 1992. “We thrive on providing a superior service to our customers, we are the one stop shop for all your shipping needs,” stated Ceyline Group Executive Chairman Captain Ajith Peiris.

“We are very pleased with the level of commitment and service that Ceyline has delivered for The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Colombo 2018. From start till end, they have made the effort to go the extra mile on many accounts and such efficiency is very much appreciated,” stated Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Partner Dipak Madhavan.
